Prior to joining FOCUS Maritime Training Center, Capt. Manikome has had a 30-year career span in educating and training Indonesian seafaring underwhile stationed at various parts of Indonesia in his capacity as Lecturer or Principal at the Government-run Centers for Maritime Training & Education (BPLP) in Makassar, Barombong, Semarang and Jakarta.
Worthy of note is Capt. Manikome's achievement in spearheading the establishment of the Government-run Maritime Education and Training Center in Barombong which has turned into a globally well-recognized and respected seafaring cadets' training center for Indonesia, a many of its graduates have been accepted for Maritime-related employment aboard International vessels.

Academically, Capt. Manikome graduated from the Indonesian Maritime Academy, with further advanced education in the Maritime field (Marine Insurance, Shipboard Management, TOT on Seamanship, GMDSS (Norway), ISM Code (DNV), TOE, ANT I) taken in Indonesia and Singapore.

Prior to stepping into the academic world, Capt. Manikome has spent quite a number of years plying the International waters as Ship Captain in charge of crews aboard Indonesian and German ships.

With solid experience both in the Academic and Practical sides of the Maritime industry, Capt. Manikome has joined FOCUS Maritime Training Center to share his Maritime knowledge and expertise as FOCUS' Head of Maritime Education. Currently, he serves as FOCUS' Director.
