| Purpose of Course | To train students in the concepts, principles and techniques of Personal Survival, Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Elementary First Aid, Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities on board merchant ships in accordance with Section A-VI/1 of the STCW Code |
| Course Aims | This course aims to meet the mandatory minimum requirements for seafarers for familiarization, basic safety training and instruction and to provide the training for students in Personal Survival Techniques, Elementary First Aid Training On Board Ship Training, Fire Prevention and Fighting, Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities in accordance with Section A-VI/1 of the STCW Code. |
| Admission Requirements | The course is open to all seafarers who are to serve on board sea-going merchant ships. |
| Resource & Facilities | •Theory will be run at FOCUS Maritime Training Center’s Classrooms
