TOT
& WORKSHOP

From May 14 to May 22, 2001, the Indonesian Maritime Education and Training
Association (APPMI) organized a TOT training program for IMO Model Course
6.09 held at the Indonesian Government's Oil Company's Education and Training
Centre - Pertamina Diklat - in Jakarta. The program was attended by 38 Maritime
Instructors from throughout Indonesia and conducted in relations with the
need for IMO Qualified Instructors in anticipation of the full implementation
of STCW 1995 Convention Requirements on February 1, 2002.
On
May 26, 2001, Sillo Bahari Nusantara also held another SBN Workshop related
to ISO 9002 with the topic IMO Requirements on ISM (International Safety Management)
Code. The event took place at the Sinar Poseidon Gupita's facilities. The
workshop was conducted by Mr. JL Creasey who is a registered IRCA Lead Auditor
from the UK
