INDONESIA" - REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA AND THE UNITED KINGDOM

A Seminar and
Workshop titled "Maritime Education & Training, and Piracy in Indonesia"
was
held by the Directorate General of Sea Communication of the Republic of Indonesia,
Met Consult, Ltd, Southampton Institute, The British Government and The Indonesian
Maritime Education and Training Association taking place at the Mataram Auditorium
on the first floor of the Karya Building at the Ministry of Communications
in Jakarta, attended by well over 200 participants from throughout Indonesia.
The event lasted four days from July 9 through July 12, 2001.
On the one-day
Seminar, the event was held on the opening day on July 9, 2001 from 8.00 AM
to 4.30 PM and officially opened by :

* HE Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Mr. Richard Gozney, CMG
* HE Minister of Communications Indonesia, DR. Budi Mulyawan Suyitno
