FOCUS Maritime Training Center is licensed to run Maritime Training Programs from the National Board of Education having jurisdiction over the Jakarta Metropolitan Area, in particular the South Jakarta Regency according to The Letter of Appointment issued by the National Education Minister of the Republic of Indonesia No:153/U/1981, dated April 29, 1981. The scope of Educational Programs approved to be held at FOCUS Training Center covers the After-School Programs/Courses run by the Community under the Appointment Letter No. No. : 045/DAF/PLSM/II/JS/2001, dated February 5, 2001.

Particularly for the Maritime Programs, the Curricula and Syllabi held at the FOCUS Maritime Training Center adhere to the requirements of STCW 1995 Convention.

FOCUS Maritime Training Center has applied a Quality Standard System mechanism into all of its programs which is based on ISO 9000, and the Center has been duly audited by External Auditors for System's Compliance on March 10, 2001. The COC (Certificate of Compliance) is Legal Accreditation (Training & Certificate) from the Directorate General of Sea Communication of the Republic of Indonesia No: DL-210/2/15/DII-01, issued October 5, 2001. As a result, Certificates issued by FOCUS will also be recognized by IMO, as training provided is in line with STCW’95 Convention Requirements.

All graduates of FOCUS Maritime Training Center will receive Certificates that are legalized and validated by the Directorate General of Sea Communication of the Republic of Indonesia, and they will be granted to participants who have attained 100% class attendance and passed the assessment process during their program execution at the Center.
